What is our Field Trip Cancellation Policy?  
We do not encourage cancelling a field trip due to the weather. Many times the weather forecast is incorrect and classes have missed out on what has turned out to be a good Fall day. Once a field trip is cancelled, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to reschedule your class as many dates fill up quickly. We would, however, do our best to try to accommodate your class. If you choose to cancel a field trip, a favor of a phone call - as early as possible - would be greatly appreciated.
 
 
Are there clothing guidelines at Port Farms?
 
To preserve our family atmosphere, proper clothing is required including shirts and shoes. Clothing with offensive words and/or offensive pictures is not permitted. Guests may want to dress in layers, as the Fall temperatures fluctuate throughout the day.
 
 
Can you have a family reunion, wedding, or graduation party at Port Farms?
 
During our off-season, we do rent areas of the farm for such events. Please call for
additional details and availabilty.
 
  When are the pumpkins planted?  
Jerry plants the pumpkins at the end of May to ensure full growth by mid-September.
 
What other crops besides pumpkins are planted at Port Farms?
 
Gourds, soybeans, wheat, corn, buckwheat, and Christmas trees.
